Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated new album Born This Way, set for release next Monday, May 23rd, is already receiving positive reviews from some of the world’s top critics.

Dan Martin of NME rated Born This Way an 8 out of 10 and said: “Gaga doesn’t know when to hold back – and it’s a damn good thing.” Bill Lamb at About.com gave the album a 5/5 rating, saying, “she brazenly welds disco to metal guitars embracing all of her musical influences in a mad clash of styles that works more often than not.”

Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield gave the record a positive review as well: “What makes Born This Way so disarmingly great is how warm and humane Gaga sounds. There isn’t a subtle moment on the album, but even at its nuttiest, the music is full of wide-awake emotional details.”

Born This Way also earned praise from MTV, PopJustice, Slant Magazine, Us Weekly, The Telegraph, The Guardian, New York Magazine and more.
