Australia becomes the first country to send Lady Gaga’s Born This Way to number one on the official albums chart. The CD is already certified platinum with sales of over 70,000 copies sold in a week.
Lady Gaga will visit Australia in July for a performance at the Sydney Town Hall. “I can’t wait, I feel like it’s been 100 years,” she said. “Just to be able to kiss and touch and hold the fans again is going to be such a wonderful feeling.”
“The next tour I believe will be called the Born This Way Ball and that will be a much longer tour of Australia,” she added. “That [P!nk's tour of Australia] is truly inspiring. I don’t know if it will be that long but maybe if we’re lucky. It will be next year, at the top of next year.”
