This week will see Lady GaGa become the first Twitter user to reach 8 million followers. After becoming the first person to reach million followers, it will see her notch up another Twitter record. She is currently the most popular person overall in social media. GaGa is the most popular user on Twitter, has one of the top five most popular Facebook pages and has the fourth most watched channel on YouTube.
TwitterCounter has collected data that says that GaGa will reach the milestone within the next five days. She is currently about 48,000 followers off the mark, gaining several thousand followers daily. Her closest follower (Justin Beiber) is currently one million followers behind and has slowed down in their follower rate.
